This past Saturday, October 1, we were thrilled to introduce Yumbini to the crowd at the Corks, Forks, Rhythm and Brews Festival. The event, held at historic Alameda Point, is a benefit for Alameda Boys and Girls Club, which focuses on:
- Education & Career Development
- Character & Leadership
- Health & Life Skills
- STEM & Technology
- Fine & Performing Arts
- Sports, Fitness & Recreation
Their aim is to improve the lives of children and teens by teaching them skills to succeed in school and the workplace. Since 1949, they have helped over 100,000 young people become confident, healthy, contributing members of society. Learn more about Alameda Boys and Girls Club.
At the Festival, we gave out tastes to 1000 participants – introducing them to the goodness and convenience of Yumbini! The response was so gratifying! Many had been looking for vegetarian or vegan options. Some wanted foods that were free of allergens or gluten. Parents were looking for healthy foods their kids can make themselves. Others simply wanted something good to eat! We were able to satisfy them all.
Yumbini also donated this gift basket to the on-line “virtual auction”. It is a “plussed up” version of our “Survival Kit” with 9 packages of Yumbini plus sturdy reusable bowl and spoon. The festival version includes a Yumbini-emblazoned kitchen towel!
Making the day even more fun, our booth was right across from the band! So we got a front row seat for all the great music. All in all a great day in Alameda. We hope all who attended had a wonderful time and that you will consider joining the fun next year!
