We are excited to announce our partnership with Town Love Box! Town Love puts together gift boxes celebrating all that is great about Oakland, California. These beautiful gift boxes include handpicked foods and beverages from Oakland small businesses (including Yumbini!) plus tickets to Oakland sports events and discounts at local restaurants.
Town Love is the brainchild of two Oaklanders, Public Relations maven Kim Bardakian and Graphic Designer Nicole Vasgerdsian. Together they are on a self-described “mission to spotlight the best of Oakland, celebrating its unique creativity and unmatched spirit, all while embracing the diversity that makes this Town truly special.”
Unbelievably, we connected with Town Love when Nicole’s mother tried Yumbini during a tasting we held at a local supermarket. She said something like “my daughter would like this”. We thought that was nice, but then she explained that her daughter put together Oakland-themed gift boxes. That REALLY got our attention! By the time we got home, I had an email from Nicole. And the rest is history!
We are excited to be part of Town Love Box, not just because more people will get to try Yumbini, but because more people will appreciate Oakland! Frequently berated in the press and always overshadowed by San Francisco, Oakland has a lot of merits all its own. Kim and Nicole do a great job highlighting these and sharing all that is great about Oakland. Bravo!
Town Love Boxes sell for $89 and are a $150 value. They are perfect for:
- Realtors & Developers
- HR Professionals
- Event Planners
- Corporate Client
- Conference & Tradeshow Organizers
- Sports Teams & Organizations
- Anyone Else Who Could Use a Little Town Love!
Maybe you want to share some Town Love with someone in your life. Maybe someone new to the area. Maybe someone who lives far away and doesn’t know what Oakland is all about. Or maybe YOU live far away and are curious what Oakland is all about! If so, get your Town Love HERE. (Oh, and did I mention Town Love Boxes include Yumbini??!)
PS: In case you are not from the Bay Area, Oakland and San Francisco are connected by the seven-mile-long Bay Bridge. In the local lingo, San Francisco is called “the city”, and Oakland is known as “the town”. (You may have seen this on Golden State Warrior jerseys!)
