In Search Of The Ultimate Work Lunch

Ah, the most important question of the work day: what’s for lunch? Sometimes maybe you go out with co-workers. But that gets expensive. And sometimes a sandwich or left overs from home will do the trick. But that gets boring. And what if you forget your lunch? Fortunately, Yumbini can solve all these work lunch problems!

Dry, shelf stable, ultimately packable and waiting in your backpack, handbag, desk drawer, or carry-on luggage – Yumbini to the rescue!

Wherever you work, Yumbini can be the work lunch for you:

Office, School - or home!

Yumbini is easy to make in the microwave at work!

If you have access to a microwave, it is definitely the fastest and easiest way to make Yumbini.

All you need is a bowl (or large mug), spoon and some water. Even a paper bowl and plastic spoon will work! And remember, if you don’t have a measuring cup, you can measure the water in the empty pouch.

Note, the “industrial” microwaves at some workplaces are more powerful than the ones made for home. You only need to heat Yumbini until it boils – it could be as little as 1.5-2 minutes.

You can make Yumbini using hot water for tea or other beverages.

Even if all you have is a coffee machine or urn with hot water for tea, you can use that to make Yumbini. It just takes a bit longer.

A paper bowl, or large cup works for this too. Just empty the Yumbini into the container, add hot water and allow to sit 15-20 minutes. Fill the hot water to about ½ inch over the top of the Yumbini.

Please don’t measure hot water in the pouch. If possible, cover the container (with a lid, plate, bowl, cup, or napkin) to retain heat. Add more water at the end if you want a juicier texture.

Out and About

You can make Yumbini in in the morning in an insulated container using boiling water and it will be hot and ready to eat for lunch.

For a delicious Yumbini work lunch where ever you go, make it in the morning!

Just empty the Yumbini into an insulated container, add ¾ cup boiling water, and screw on the lid. Throw it in your bag and it will be ready at lunchtime.

If you like the texture on the soft, home-cooked side, add a little extra water.

Traveling

Yumbini is dry, lightweight, portable and doesn't mind being squished into a backpack or rollybag - wherever you go!

If your work is on the road, Yumbini can tag along.

This is especially useful when traveling to a destination where plant-based foods are hard to find.

Yumbini is lightweight and doesn’t mind getting squished into a backpack or rolly bag. And because it is dehydrated, you can even carry it on an airplane!

When you get to your destination, prepare using any of the methods above!
